Yanang Leaves are a species of flowering plant native to Southeast Asia and used particularly in the cuisines of Northeast Thailand and Laos. Botanically called ‘tiliacora triandra’, Yanang leaves are used for its rich and thick extract, called the broth, in order to use as a thickening agent and as a flavouring ingredient in recipes. In Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam, the Yanang leaves extract is widely popular. It is more popular in Southeast Asian countries by its Vietnamese name, ‘Nuoc Suong Sam’.
