Tamarind Puree adds a refreshing flavour to any dish - with elements of both sweet and sour, it goes well with curries, laksa and oriental coselaw. It also makes a terrific refreshing drink when mixed with some brown sugar, ginger and some lemon juice.

Tamarind puree is made from natural tamarind and has a distinctive sweet and sour flavour. Add to curries, laksa, sambals and any of your favourite recipes where a sour taste is required. For a refreshing drink, add 1 teaspoon each tamarind puree and sugar to a 250ml glass of water.

Cooking suggestion:
Add 1 tablespoon of JEENY'S tamarind puree, 1/4 teaspoon of salt and 1 teaspoon of sugar into 250g of shrimps; mix well and marinate for 15 minutes. Cook the shrimps with 3 tablespoons of cooking oil until slightly burnt. Dish out and serve.
