Yanang leaves are traditionally used in Southeast Asian countries for its herbal and medicinal applications. Botanically called ‘tiliacora triandra’, Yanang leaves are used for its rich and thick extract, called the broth, in order to use as a thickening agent and as a flavouring ingredient in recipes. In Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam, the Yanang leaves extract is widely popular. It is more popular in Southeast Asian countries by its Vietnamese name, ‘Nuoc Suong Sam’.
