Inari sushi is one of the simplest type of sushi to make, consisting of sushi rice tucked inside sweet fried tofu pouches or Inari-age. Yutaka Inari-age contains 10 pouches which are conveniently pre-cut in half and seasoning with sweet soy sauce. Enjoy with sushi rice for an easy lunch in your bento box or top with a colourful choice of toppings for party food.

Abura Age is a traditional Japanese food that is made from tofu, which has been deep fried in two stages at two different temperatures. It often appears in miso soup, is the main ingredient for making inarizushi and is also the featured ingredient that gives kitsune udon (fox udon) its name. Naming it ‘kitsune’ derives from the old Japanese legend that foxes have an appetite for deep-fried tofu of course. For more frozen, fresh, and other vegetables commonly utilised in Japanese cuisine

Preparation:
How to make Inari Sushi
1. Cook 180g Yutaka Sushi Rice, and season with 2 tbsp Japanese rice vinegar, 1 tbsp sugar and 1/2 tsp salt.
2. Gently open a tofu pouch and fill with the seasoned rice and gently push with your fingers so that the pocket is filled all the way to the corners.
3. Add your choice of toppings such as cooked prawns, thinly sliced omelettes, grilled salmon, edamame or simmered vegetables.
Storage:
Keep frozen.
Store in a cool, dry and dark place. Once opened keep refrigerated and consume within 2 days.
